It is on the south coast of the island of Dominica and on the east side of Grand Bay close to the fishing village of Fond St. Jean. A mere 30-minute drive to the capital Roseau. Surrounded by lush greenery with a beautiful river running along the property this is the prefect getaway for those seeking peace and tranquility. The development history of the property starts with the purchase of the undeveloped land in 1989. 1990 saw the cutting of a driveway and achieving a potable water supply. The first small cottage (700 square feet approx.), designed with local “ti-kai” houses in mind, was built in 1991 as a winter getaway. In 1993, electricity was brought in. The unique Caribbean-Mediterranean-style villa was designed in 1996 and constructed in 1997 – 98. The design is intentionally flexible to be either a single dwelling or a small inn.
There are 5 guest bedrooms with balconies and bathrooms offering astounding sea view and the Island of Martinique on a clear day , direct beach access is also available from the property .Further out buildings (including a second small cottage of about 600 square feet), trails and amenities followed. Zandoli Inn has been successfully operated from March 1999 . All essential operational existing equipment, vehicles and furnishings are available at an additional cost of US$200,000.
