Many seaside resorts are less than 50 km away, such as Santa Teresa di Gallura, Porto Rafael, the enchanting Costa Paradiso and Porto Pollo, an international surfing centre. Less than 10 km away is Tempio Pausania and a little further the beautiful village of Aggius.
Luras is known as the town of the Dolmen, there are four perfectly intact. Nearby there are some millennial wild olive trees, the most famous is called "S'Ozzastru", about 4000 years old, one of the oldest in the world, with a diameter of almost 12 metres. Near the wild olive trees is the Liscia Lake.
