In the large built-in kitchen you can still hear the echo of voices, of kneading hands, of the slow-cooking wood-fired oven. Everything smells of family, of slow Sundays, of generously poured wine.In the outdoor kitchen created from an attached building, the air tastes like embers and wood. There we laugh, we listen to stories, we toast to summer and life that flows. And when evening falls, with cicadas playing in the background, just look up to understand that you are in the right place.Under the covered veranda, where time really seems to expand, you have lunch in the shade during the hottest hours, you read a book suspended between light and silence, you chat until late with the breeze caressing your skin. It is one of those places where even waiting tastes sweet.Two large rooms with bathroom with independent entrance seem designed for those who arrive and no longer want to leave. Or for those who, every now and then, need their own corner.And then there is the garden. It’s not just any garden: it’s a small oasis. Every tree, every plant tells something. And if you stop in silence, you can hear the sound of water flowing, down there, from the old well brought back to life, quenching the earth’s thirst and guarding the memory of the past time.This villa cannot be visited. You live. And when you leave – if you leave – you realize that something is left with you. A smell, an image, a sensation. Like a promise of return.
