Casa Maria dei Fiori (ref: 219) is an apartment in an elegant late 1800s palazzo a few minutes from the historic centre.

A door from the entrance hall gives access to a generous storeroom. Other doors lead into a kitchen with fireplace and to the corridor leading to the large living room. One large bedroom has a small ensuite bathroom and a nice balcony. The other bedroom has a larger ensuite bathroom, a dressing room and another good sized balcony. The apartment has windows in three directions. The floors are various terracotta, terrazzo and tiles.

Although said to be in good structural condition, the apartment itself needs modernisation.

The house is only 200 m from the walking path through a small park area down to the bridge onto the island which comprises the historic centre of Isola del Liri. Walking past the church of Santa Maria del Fiore and an attractive trattoria, you are already at the start of the path.


THE CIOCIARIA REGION

The Ciociaria region is within easy reach of both Rome and Naples and their respective airports. A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome. Alternatively, drive east, and the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park await with horse trekking in the magnificent beech forests, and sparkling mountain lakes and rivers where you can swim in the heat of the summer.
