Road access is good, the Medieval City of Coimbra is 45 minutes by car; the Atlantic coast, renowned for its surfing and beaches is about an hour and a half. The major airports at Porto and Lisbon are both within easy reach, whilst the Spanish Ferry ports are a manageable day’s drive.
