The architectural project was led by renowned architect Manuel Aires Mateus, winner of the Pessoa Prize in 2017, and the interior design was developed by L’Èléphant Interiors.
The result is a delicatebalance between antique furniture and modern design pieces, creating a sober, welcoming, and timeless atmosphere. This palace has been carefully adapted into a charming guesthouse, currently offering 10 bedrooms — all with private en-suite bathrooms — distributed between the main house and an independent one-bedroomapartment (formerly the coachman’s house and stables), with a separate entrance from Rua da Figueira. The property also features a delightful private garden of 213 m², with a swimming pool, lawn, and leisure areas. The renovation was carried out to the highest standards, using noble and efficient materials: the entire roof was rebuilt with thermal and acoustic insulation, the original wooden window frames havebeen preserved and fitted with double glazing, and the building is equipped with central heating, complemented by the original fireplaces.
