What began as a simple idea to renovate the terrace flooring quickly evolved into a comprehensive interior project — a true year-long makeover, where nothing was considered impossible. Under the vision of the owner and in collaboration with interior architect Mário Gomes, the apartment became a living gallery of design, noble materials, and custom-made pieces. Every detail was designed with intention, every object chosen for its history, every room transformed into a setting.
More than an apartment, it is a refuge of sophistication and character, full of soul and its own identity. The heart of the home is the dining room, dominated by a monumental 500 kg solid teak table, imported from Bali and resting on custom-forged copper legs. Above it, a lamp inspired by Tom Dixon’s iconic Round defines the atmosphere, while the lighting — ambient, indirect, and functional — creates the perfect stage at every moment of the day. Staging the space, a 3.6-meter smoked mirror and a library of the same height enhance the depth and multiply the light. The living room extends this experience, with a custom-made sofa inspired by Minotti, coffee tables carved from olive trunks, and a 1.5-meter Belgian gas fireplace. All technical systems were integrated invisibly — climate control through black linear grills, intuitive home automation, and layered lighting — ensuring comfort without disturbing the aesthetics. The master suite evokes the exclusive atmosphere of a boutique hotel: central glass shower, large continuous slabs of white Ibiza marble, solid countertop, and jacuzzi with AXOR mixers. At the back, an impressive 3.5-meter Nero Marquina marble wall, imported from Kuwait, contrasts with suspended copper lamps from Italia Design and a second gas fireplace. One of the rooms was transformed into a luxurious walk-in closet and office, in champagne tones, equipped with Bandalux blinds, smart storage, and Buster + Punch switches, highlighting the care present throughout the house. The terrace, an absolute rarity in Parque das Nações, about 70 m2, was conceived as a true outdoor living room: outdoor kitchen, Gandia Blasco furniture, bronze sculptures by Belgian artist MaRf, and tropical vegetation. Thanks to the HeatSail luminaire, which combines light and heating, the space can be enjoyed year-round — turning the sunset over the Tagus and the Marina into the perfect setting for unforgettable gatherings and dinners. More than an apartment, this penthouse is the materialization of a personal vision: the belief that nothing is impossible and that a home can simultaneously be architecture, stage, and work of art.
