The roof was completely renovated, including the replacement of supports, tiles and the installation of a new skylight. The façade, a symbol of the building’s rich history, was carefully cleaned and restored, with special attention given to replacing damaged tiles, thus preserving its original aesthetics.
To improve energy efficiency, Capotto was applied to the rear gable, side and common areas. The old windows gave way to modern PVC frames with double glazing, offering excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. The building’s infrastructure was modernised with a complete replacement of electrical installations, including the implementation of the ITED system, as well as plumbing renovation.The building’s interior was restored with careful attention to preservation. Floorboards, doors and other original elements in good condition were recovered, maintaining the authenticity of the space. The walls were repainted and the skirting boards restored, creating an environment that breathes history, with all modern comforts.The building comprises various spaces. On the ground floor, a 111.25 m² shop houses a charming restaurant. The upper floors are dedicated to flats: one one-bedroom, one four-bedroom and two three-bedroom flats, distributed between the rear ground floor, first, second and third floors. Interestingly, the three-bedroom flat on the third floor is under a rental contract, adding a mixed-use dimension to the building.This property is a notable example of the harmonious fusion between past and present, providing guests with a unique short-term rental experience in the historic heart of Porto.
