As is usual in this type of construction, it is made of limestone masonry with well-worked reddish sandstone blocks at the corners.
At the top, a machicolation surrounds the entire perimeter of the tower.

The ground floor was used as a cellar. The use of limestone in the corners of this lower floor, which only appears in this tower and no other, has led us to believe that it may date from the 14th century.
If this is true, it could have been demolished or destroyed in the Catalan civil war of the Generalitat against John II and rebuilt in the 16th century.
In the 16th and 17th centuries, the tower was the property of the Savall family, a very important family in Castelldefels.
On the façade there is an inscription in Catalan stating that it was built by Climent Savall, by the hand of Joan Font, in 1558.

Climent Savall was mayor of the town, he ordered the construction of this tower and was the driving force behind the renovation of the old medieval castle of Castelldefels to make it operational in the defence against pirates.

In its last use until recently, it used to be used for art exhibitions. On the ground floor there were pottery workshops with kilns, on the first floor painting was done and on the third floor there was a living area with a kitchen and even a bedroom.

It has a great historical value and is a perfect place to develop artistic activities, workshops and exhibitions.
