This charming end terrace beach house has an enviable position overlooking the main channel that links the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor. South facing, there are spectacular views from every room both out to sea and back along the strip of La Manga all the way to Cabo de Palos. The house is part of a development called Venecia Azul which comprises eight terrace houses and two blocks of apartments. There is a communal pool which is an impressive size and gardens that run along the front of the development as well as a small shop which sells just about everything.As you enter the property from the road there is an enclosed north facing patio and the front door leads you into an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The kitchen is fully fitted with Bosch dish washer and large fridge freezer with additional seating area at the raised breakfast bar. In the living area there is air conditioning if required in the summer but due to its location there is nearly always a breeze running through the house when it is opened up.
For the cooler nights over the winter there is also a wood burner to cosy up to. The patio doors and kitchen window have recently been replaced (October 2022) and look out onto the covered terrace whose shade is doubled in size with the awning that stretches the full width of the property.There is also a shower room and large storage room on the ground floor which is ideal for storing beach gear, bikes and kayaks etc. Moving upstairs there are 3 good sized double bedrooms each with ceiling fans and fully fitted lined wardrobes. The family bathroom separates the north facing bedroom and the master which has access to the balcony which runs the full width of the property. From here the views are simply stunning. A spiral staircase takes you up to the rooftop which is the footprint of the entire house.The nearest beach is just over the road and the beaches of the Mar Menor just a short distance away along with the popular marina (Tomas Maestre) where you can find a whole host of restaurants and bars. There are a couple of supermarkets to choose from and in the summer months in particular there are several companies that promote the fantastic scuba diving in the area as well as the usual jet-ski hire, peddle boats and inflatable parks for children.[IW]
