An unusual Rooftop Duplex in the very heart of Selçuk, Very Close to the Ancient City of Ephesus
Our apartment is located in Selcuk City, in the heart of the Bazaar, and in an excellent location.

Just below the apartment you can find a traditional kebab restaurant, traditional Turkish coffee prepared on hot sand, a patisserie and a grocery store. Just across the road is a “Şok” supermarket and other shops.
You can have any type of food you want prepared right below the apartment and eat it at home.

The lower floor of the apartment comprises a spacious, light living room facing the town, a communal bathroom, utility room, and at the back a bedroom overlooking St. John’s Basilica.

On the Upper Floor there is a spacious bedroom with a high ceiling and a very spacious terrace with original architecture.

From the terrace you can watch the sunset, the storks nesting during the migration and breeding season, the lights of Selçuk Castle and the magnificent St.

John’s Basilica.

There is 2 x 3 Seater Pull-up Sofa Bed in the Lounge, 2 x Single Beds in the bedroom ground floor and 1 x Double Bed in the attic room.6 Person can comfortably accommodate in the Penthouse.From both the living room and the upstairs bedroom you can watch TV with international channels in many languages. Fast fibre internet, Netflix, YouTube and all the necessary hardware is provided.  The bedrooms and the living room have Samsung inverter air-conditioning; and all white goods have been provided.

Every Saturday, the largest outdoor organic fruit and vegetable market in the region is set up and is only 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment.

Should you wish, in only 10 minutes you can walk to the ancient city of Ephesus with one of the most famous open-air theatres in the world.

Should you wish, you can catch the local minibuses (“dolmuş”) that pass right outside the apartment to take you to the House of the Virgin Mary or to the village of Şirince, an unspoilt old Greek village famous for its wine, hand-made soaps, regional organic products and handcrafts.

In this region one can feel the texture, smell and colours of history and in the quiet and peaceful town of Selçuk, one can make a magical journey through 3000 years of history.

Across the street from the apartment is the 6th Century Basilica of St. John built by Justinian the Byzantine Emperor.

This was the home of St. John, the youngest and most loved of the 12 apostles to whom Jesus entrusted his mother. St. John, also known as John Theologos, lived here AC 37-38St. Paul also stayed in Ephesus for a while then left there.Orders for John’s death were given by the emperor Domitian while John was preaching the gospel with St. Peter Pertus in 67 but miraculously John survived both times.  
By the year 81Ac wrote his gospel and letters here. St. John in Ephesus at the age of approximately 100 and was buried on Ayasuluk Hill in accordance with his request.

After the 7th Century, the people of Ephesus moved to Ayasulukwith the relocation of the Church of St. John. This replaced the old Episcopal church in Ephesus.

Since then, rites are held here in the spiritual presence of St. John according to the Christian faith on May 8 (in the Feast of the Saints) every year in the Church of St. John, which has been considered a very important pilgrimage center for the Orthodox community up to the present day.

You will feel very comfortable in this unique loft duplex, which smells of history and Nature, and you will have an unforgettable holiday experience.
