1. CURRENT COMPANY PROFILE

This Cement Factory was set up with an initial annual installed capacity of 1,200,000 tons (400,000 Bags & 800,000 Bulks) of cement. 2. PROCESS & PRODUCTS

Cement is a fine powder that sets after a few hours when mixed with water and then in a few days it gets harder and forms into a solid that is a strong material.

Manufactured by combining a homogenous blend of carefully pro such as limestone or chalk and clay, shale, or sand, cement in temperatures of 14500C in a rotary kiln. The raw materials fuse to which is a hard granular material. The clinker is then ground to a pow make the cement.

Cement is produced by crushing clinker which is made from crushing limestone and mixing it with other materials and heated in a kiln. The chemical changes that take place in the kiln are the crucial part of the process. At every stage, tests are performed to make sure that materials of the proper consistency are present in the proper proportions.

This factory produces the following types of cement:

- Ordinary Portland Cement – BS(12) EN197-1(CEMI), ASTMC 150-TYPE-I
- High Sulphate Resisting Portland Cement – BS 4027,ASTMC 150 –TYPE- V
- Moderate Sulphate Resisting Portland Cement ASTMC 150, Type - II
