Oman’s long-term residency visa program has become a key driver in attracting foreign investors. By the end of 2023, more than 3,400 investors from 60 countries had obtained long-term visas, confirming Oman’s growing appeal.
This trend is especially strong in real estate. In the first half of 2024, real estate transactions totaled OMR 1.4 billion, even as the number of transactions declined slightly. Meanwhile, mortgage volumes increased, indicating foreign investors’ willingness to invest significant capital into Omani properties.
Beyond real estate, Oman attracted over OMR 25 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) by Q3 2023, reflecting the broader success of its long-term visa program.
With its political stability, strategic location, and business-friendly environment, Oman is emerging as a prime investment destination, offering both economic returns and community integration for foreign residents.
