Here, in fact, are imposing quarries that have fascinated and seduced the greatest artists of all time, such as Michelangelo Buonarroti.^For many, coming to Massa also means stopping in the most significant of its hamlets: Marina di Massa, a renowned seaside resort on the Apuan Riviera and an important tourist destination. In summer, its numerous bathing establishments (some of them historical), clubs, discos, and all the services for tourists make it one of the most attractive destinations on the northern Tuscan coast. ^,
